Course Objectives

This PC will equip learners with the following competencies:

  • Understand the user interface/interaction design process and applying the guiding principles into daily design work
  • Understand visual design principles and apply them in design practices
  • Review style guides and make enhancements
  • Be aware of the emerging technologies and trends and gain a deeper understanding of how they may shape the future of UI design
  • How to turn needs and requirements into ideas and prototypes
  • How to translate content and layout into intuitive and responsive interface experience for users
  • Oversee the conduct of usability testing to validate user interfaces and interactions
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of user interfaces and interactions in meeting user needs and requirements
  • Analyze the effectiveness of UI designs and propose recommendations
  • Analyze results of UI evaluations for improvements
