Course Overview
This course helps learners understand how businesses can design User Interfaces and Experiences for the Metaverse. Design concepts specific to the Metaverse relating to Augmented and Virtual Reality will be introduced, and learners will learn how to take advantage of the Metaverse’s unique qualities to create seemingly magical experiences to unlock business potential like never before. Topics covered include how to craft sensations, influence emotions and shape perceptions to drive intended sentiments of a company’s brand, products and services in the Metaverse.
This course is part of Professional Certificate in Designing Metaverse-ready Immersive Experiences.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, learners should be able to:
- Understand the how Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) impact users’ sensations, emotions and perceptions in the Metaverse
- Create User Experiences that leverage on the unique properties of the Metaverse
- Design unique user interfaces and experiences as part of a business solution to influence sensations, emotions and perceptions of potential customers to improve customer sentiments towards a company’s brand, products and services in the Metaverse.

Executives, developers, designers and managers in Information Technology related fields and business development, strategic planning and operations professionals.
Prerequisite
Minimum Diploma in Information Technology or related fields.
Technical Requirements
Please ensure you have at least 80GB of storage space on your laptop. Otherwise, an external hard disk is allowed. Please also bring along a mouse.

Rahul Nath
Rahul Nath is a creative technologist with 17 years of experience in games and films. He has shipped over 10 games and directed 4 pilot series. He has leveraged technology such as motion capture, face capture, real-time game engines, Virtual Reality and XR in the projects he was involved in to continuously push the envelope of what is possible.
He has previously worked at Digipen Institute of Technology, Virtuos Games, Maui and Digital Chocolate and currently is focused on use cases involving game engines in trans media projects.”
