Course Overview

This course helps learners understand how businesses can best take advantage of opportunities afforded by the Metaverse, which is made up of both the physical world and its Digital Twin. By giving an overview of how each different world (Physical and Digital) contributes to the creation, sustenance and operation of the Metaverse, business owners can better plan and prepare their existing business operations to gain a first-mover advantage in this new domain.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, learners should be able to:

Understand how the physical world and its Digital Twin form two inter-related halves of the Metaverse, and why businesses must consider both halves in their business plans.
Analyse business problems and opportunities brought about by the Physical and Digital Twins.
Craft business plans within the political, economic, social and technological considerations and constraints surrounding the Physical and Digital Twins.

Participants must fulfill at least 75% attendance and pass all assessment components to be eligible for SSG funding.
Singaporeans and Singapore PRs are eligible for up to 90% SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) funding, subject to SSG funding guidelines.

Other Information

This course is eligible for Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP). NTUC members can enjoy up to 50% funding (capped at $250 per year) under UTAP. NTUC members aged 40 and above can enjoy higher funding support up to $500 per individual each year, capped at 50% of unfunded course fees, for courses attended between 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2025.
