Sentiment Analysis Fundamentals

Date: 18 May, 19 May 2023 | 9am-5.30pm | Online

Duration: 2 Days

Course Overview

With the introduction of modern ICT echo systems (e.g. the Internet, Smartphones, digitalization), there has been tremendous growth in data generated by both systems and people. We can use structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data to extract many facts and patterns hidden inside those resources. One of the information that we can analyze now is sentiments and polarity of opinions. Sentiment analysis or opinion mining is concerned with extracting opinionated content, and analyzing it to provide some clue on how users feel about an issue/thing/service/product, and so on. This course will provide both a theoretical foundation and hands-on experience for someone to understand and practice sentiment analysis and opinion mining.

This module is part of Professional Certificate in Text Processing.
