Course Overview
With immense technological advancement and an increasingly disruptive operating environment, organizations need to continue to develop its technological and business strategies so as to anticipate and respond to rapidly changing conditions. To enjoy sustained success, organisations and teams require leaders who can conduct in-depth business environment analysis, and develop an agile mindset to lead in an increasingly complex digital workplace. The programme will enable learners to appreciate the importance of leadership agility and to lead effectively in the disruptive digital economy. Through an established framework, learners will examine their current level of leadership agility and develop it further to enhance their leadership effectiveness.
This module is part of Professional Certificate in Digital Leadership.

Assoc Prof Tan Chuan Hoo

Assoc Prof Tan Chuan Hoo
Assoc Prof Tan Chuan Hoo is Associate Professor (tenured) and Deputy Head (Administration and Research) in the Department of Information Systems and Analytics, School of Computing at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is the curriculum chair for the department. Prior to joining NUS, he held a tenured faculty position in Hong Kong. Chuan Hoo conducts research in the area of the digital economy, digitalization and future of work with a range of organisations and institutions. His work has appeared in premium journals such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of AIS, ACM Transactions on Management Information Systems, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Journal of American Society for Information Science and Technology, Long Range Planning among many others. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers (http://goo.gl/gZcd47). He serves or has served on the editorial boards of leading journals including MIS Quarterly (Associate Editor), Journal of AIS (editorial board member), IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management (editorial board members), among others. Chuan Hoo is the recipient of the INFORMS ISS Design Science Award (2013), MIS Quarterly outstanding associate editor award (2016), Journal of AIS best reviewer award (2016), and NUS School of Computing faculty teaching excellence award (2017).
Dr Amirhassan Monajemi

Dr Amirhassan Monajemi
Dr Amirhassan Monajemi is a Senior Lecturer in AI and Machine Learning with the School of Computing (SoC) at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Prior to SoC, he was a Senior Lecturer in NUS School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE) teaching AI and Data Science to adult learners. Before joining the NUS, he was with the Faculty of Computer Engineering, University of Isfahan, Iran, where he was serving as a professor of AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science. He was born in Isfahan, Iran. He studied towards BSc and MSc in Computer Engineering at Isfahan University of Technology (IUT), and Shiraz University respectively. He got his PhD in computer engineering, pattern recognition and image processing, from the University of Bristol, Bristol, England, in 2005. His research interests include AI, Machine Learning, Machine Vision, IoT, Data Science, and their applications.
He has taught the artificial intelligence courses, including AI, Advanced AI, Expert Systems, Decision Support Systems, Neural Networks, and Cognitive Science since 2005 at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He was awarded the best university teacher of the province in 2012. He also has studied Learning Management Systems, E-Learning, and E-Learning for workplaces since 2007.
Dr Monajemi has registered a few patents in the fields of AI, Machine Vision, and Signal Processing applications, including an AI and machine vision-based driver drowsiness detection system and a low power consuming spherical robot. He also has published more than a hundred research papers in peer-reviewed, indexed journals and international conferences (IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, and so on), and supervised several Data Science, IoT, and AI industrial projects in various scales, including Isfahan intelligent traffic system delivery and testing, and red light runners detection. He is experienced in different sub-domains of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, from theory to practice, including Deep Learning, Logic, and Optimisation.

Sarat is responsible up to 1 bn USD revenue realization & managed 150+ staff globally. Sarat’s core competency includes technology consulting, Delivering & Monetizing Banking technology solution, Digital Transformation in Banking, Banking as a Service (BaaS), Fintech Platform Integration, Business Process Re-engineering, Blockchain & Cloud Application Engineering, ERP Rollout & Fintech advisory. A rare competency (Business & Technology, Banking & Corporate) for someone to have in the digital global leadership role. Domain expertise includes, Banking Pre-Sales, Working Capital Management, Cash & Treasury Management, Supply Chain Management & Trade & Supply Chain Finance Management & Sustainable Financing (ESG).
Sarat holds Digital Transformation Specialization from MIT-USA, MBA degree in Strategic Management (UK), Postgraduate in IT(India), Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. Sarat is an adjunct professor at NUS – AIDF (1st Fintech University in Asia) of Digital Transformation In Banking Industry & at SP Jain Global Management (Singapore) of Supply Chain Sustainability (ESG), Supply Chain Management & Financial Management In Supply Chain. Sarat is also a certified Six Sigma process expert & certified Project Management Professional.
Sarat is an active keynote speaker in reputed industry events, forums, specializing in Digital Disruption, & Blockchain. Sarat is recipient of various industry (BFSI) awards & accolades.
