Course Overview

The increased adoption of electronic medical record systems has generated huge amount of data which can be used to measure healthcare delivery standards and improve patient outcomes. Healthcare institutions can leverage on these data to draw insights into the performance of their healthcare delivery approaches, streamline workflows, and keep operating costs down. This course is designed to equip participants with the necessary skillsets in collecting, cleaning, processing, and analysing data to generate results for use by its management, care providers and various stakeholders.

Course Objectives

Course will enable participants to:

  • Understand sources of data generation in a typical healthcare institution.
  • Understand the importance of data to a healthcare institution for operations and planning, evaluation of performance goals and improvement of service and patient care.
  • Learn the tools and techniques to clean, process, analyse and interpret various categories of healthcare analytics.
  • Identify data limitations and understand how to resolve them.
  • Acquire analytic skills using the data analytics software

  3. Participants must fulfill at least 75% attendance and pass all assessment components to be eligible for SSG funding.
  4. Singaporeans and Singapore PRs are eligible for up to 90% SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) funding, subject to SSG funding guidelines.

Other Information

This course is eligible for Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP). NTUC members can enjoy up to 50% funding (capped at $250 per year) under UTAP. NTUC members aged 40 and above can enjoy higher funding support up to $500 per individual each year, capped at 50% of unfunded course fees, for courses attended between 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2025.
