This course is offered biannually, available once every six months.

Course Overview

Participants will be introduced to data privacy, cybersecurity and asset protection and will learn to manage and protect their companies’ digital assets.

Course Objectives

The participants will learn:

  1.  Personal data protection obligations and the business implications:
    •  Lecture on PDPA and selective global data protection acts.
    • Individual online trivia.
    • Group learning in personally identifiable information.
  2. Data loss prevention technology and industry best practices:
    • Lecture on technology options and practical deployment approach.
    • Group learning in data breach risk mitigations.
  3. Cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and risk mitigations:
    • Lecture on common business security vulnerabilities.
    • Case studies in real-life social engineering and man-in-the-middle attack.
    • Group learning in non-technical mechanisms to prevent such attacks.
  4. Cybersecurity risk mitigations and industry best practices:
    • Lecture on practical strategies including IT/OT convergence vulnerabilities mitigation.
    • Homework reading in cybersecurity tabletop simulation for day 2.
  5. Cybersecurity tabletop simulation:
    • Participants to select various mitigating tactics to protect digital assets from multiple rounds of cyber-attacks. Start of round 1 and 2.
  6. Cybersecurity tabletop simulation round 3 to 5. Wrap up on learnings and practical applications.

Digital Operation Managers and Digital Project Managers.

Prerequisites

At least a diploma (or equivalent) with managerial exposure.

Other Information

This course is eligible for Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP). NTUC members can enjoy up to 50% funding (capped at $250 per year) under UTAP. NTUC members aged 40 and above can enjoy higher funding support up to $500 per individual each year, capped at 50% of unfunded course fees, for courses attended between 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2025.
