Course Overview

This course will introduce cloud computing architecture concepts and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). A basic overview of cloud architectures such as containers (Docker), container orchestration (Kubernetes), serverless computing, microservices etc will be covered. It will also cover hands-on activities on some of the IaaS services such as compute and container orchestration in some popular cloud platforms.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course, participants will able to:
• Know about cloud computing architecture concepts
• Understand containers (Docker), container orchestration (Kubernetes), serverless computing and microservices
• Gain hands-on knowledge on cloud infrastructure services
• Understand some of the decision making parameters when selecting appropriate cloud infrastructure services

  2. GST shall apply at prevailing rates.
  3. Participants must fulfill at least 75% attendance and pass all assessment components to be eligible for SSG funding.
  4. Singaporeans and Singapore PRs are eligible for up to 90% SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) funding, subject to SSG funding guidelines.

Other Information

This course is eligible for Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP). NTUC members can enjoy up to 50% funding (capped at $250 per year) under UTAP. NTUC members aged 40 and above can enjoy higher funding support up to $500 per individual each year, capped at 50% of unfunded course fees, for courses attended between 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2025.
